Old‑school wisdom. Modern execution.
My parents once bought us two sheep for the Puyallup Fair. I wasn’t much of a shepherd back then, but since then I’ve learned a thing or two about wool. If you’ve ever spent time around seasoned outdoors folks, you’ve heard it before: wear wool. It breathes, insulates when wet, and somehow manages not to stink—even after a few hard days outside.
The Woolie takes everything you love about the Classic Squak and builds it from a premium merino blend. With 85% merino wool for temperature regulation and odor resistance, plus nylon and spandex for durability and stretch, this hoodie lands right between a base layer and a lightweight mid-layer. At 150 GSM, it’s perfect for shoulder seasons, cool mornings, or layering up when the temps dip.

I have 3 including a Woolie and love the fit and functionality of them all. The quality is great also.
It is awesome to know you’ve already built a collection of three, including the Woolie. Thanks for being such a big part of the Squak community Scott!
I just got my first squak after seeing some friends rock em. Have loved it and worn it a ton ever since I got it. Comfy, stylish, very good technical gear too. Planning on getting more in the future! If you're in doubt, I say send it!
Welcome to the crew! There’s no better compliment than seeing our gear out there because a friend recommended it. Thanks for the 'send it' vote of confidence!
Great quality, great design, great fit
It’s awesome to hear the quality, design, and fit are all hitting the mark for you. Thanks for gearin' up with Squak and happy adventuring!
The Woolie is comfy and a flattering fit. It’s softer than some of my other merino and wears well over multiple days, which is great for travel. The Woolie fits a touch looser than the micro-grid, and is true-to-size in my normal L (I size up to an XL for the grid hoodie). Love that the sleeves and hem are long enough so I’m not constantly tugging them down or feeling like I’m wearing a crop top. Only wish is for it to be available in more colors!
It’s great to hear the Woolie is becoming a go-to for your travels! Thanks for the shout-out regarding more colors—we love knowing what our community is looking for as we look toward future seasons
Very comfortable ansd fits true to size.
