If you know, you know—Polartec Alpha Direct is hard to come by. We secured a big batch of Forest Green in 90 GSM, along with limited runs of 60 and 120 GSM in select colors.

Originally developed in 2012 for the U.S. Military, Polartec Alpha Direct is the ultimate active insulation—warm when you need it, breathable when you don’t.

Great piece of gear!

I love the gear I have from Squak, and the e Maverick was great on my recent 5 day trip. Kept me warm when needed, and it breathed when needed. Highly recommend!

Maverick Alpha Men's

Just wanted to mention how amazing this hoodie has been so far. Just got back from hiking the Grand Canyon using the 60 GSM and it's one of the only active layers I haven't felt that I was going to overheat in. Perfect at letting a breeze in to keep you cool while still providing enough warmth. This paired with a lightweight windbreaker kept me warm in 30 to 40 degree temps while active. I would definitely recommend sizing up. Generally wear a L and the XL was perfect. Only Con...As a dude, the Ice Melt isn't my favorite color. Wish there were more color options in the 60 GSM like the Grey.

I made review on my Alpha Maverick hoodie. I love the weight to warmth But the Durability is Poor. I have worn mine for 25 total miles and have finger size hole by hood and worn areas Just being real.
