Overall really liked this, more so than any other Sun hoodie I’ve tried! I waited a few months before reviewing it so that I could give accurate feedback. I’ve used it mainly for hiking in high desert & alpine, specifically off-trail.

PROS:
- The material is probably my favorite thing about this hoodie - it’s very light/comfortable, and it doesn’t get that weird slimy feeling when you sweat. After hours of hiking in it, it still felt really comfortable to wear. Overall, material has held up pretty well (other than some piling) and since I do most of my hiking off trail, it’s a win for me.

- True to size (F, 5’8 145lbs - size M) and while I generally don’t really like the cut on most women’s outdoor apparel, I was really stoked on this one. It’s slightly relaxed, enough so that I could fit a layer underneath - obviously you can size up or down to change that, but it’s nice to know that the sizing is accurate. It’s also flattering without trying to accentuate anything - again, a lot of women’s outdoor apparel is kind of funky in this area.

CONS: (for me)

- I have a smaller head and I find the hood to be really small - when up, it pulls & feels tight in the neck/shoulder/head area and so I don’t use it. Personally, I’d like it big enough to hook over the bill of my hat to extra sun protection

- I also find the arms to be just a bit too short, and a little on the fitted side compared to the rest of the hoodie. This also makes the thumb loops pointless for me since there’s major tugging if I use them (although I really do like the thumb loops themselves).

Overall, I was happy with it, and look forward to seeing improvements in the future!

Love the feel and how light and breathable it is! Neck feels a little tight but otherwise it's great!

I love my new sun hoodie. It’s high necked and has thumb holes, so it has very good coverage for sun, wind, etc. I would definitely recommend sizing up because it fits pretty snuggly. I normally wear a size small, but I’m glad I ordered a medium.

The sun shirt is light, comfortable and protects skin from harsh UV rays. I work on a farm and am outside a majority of my days and have found this shirt to be very useful. The only bummer is that it holds stains. I work in irrigation and get pretty muddy. The mud and organic fertilizer did not wash out when I tried after a dirty day. I feel like mud if pretty challenging to get off anyways, but that is my only feedback. If this shirt was a bit more stain resistant I would give it five stars. Regardless, I am still going to purchase a second shirt because it is comfortable and safe.

First off: 5’5” 122lbs. The size was consistent with the Squak fleece hoodie, since I bought both. Size small was perfect, nice long arms, still flattering but room for a tee underneath. The blue color was a nice pop and the stitching quality was great. I love the thumb loops, fun squeak logo and scuba neck coverage! The only con…. I immediately threw it on and took it on a 3 day backpacking trip and upon inspection afterwards, there were lots of little snags on the front of the hoodie. I’m so sad, I wanted to love it but also wanted to put it to the test. I would love to see the exact same hoodie in a tighter knit to prevent snags and I’d scoop another one up immediately.
