Men’s Classic Squak – Grid Fleece Mid-Layer Hoodie

I am stoked to support a small biz that makes a great product. I got the mid layer fleece in orange and wear it every time im boarding. I got the hat and it’s perfect for hiking the Flat Irons. I fully support this company - and would also love to be a tester for products for them even! VERY reasonably priced as well.

The Squak Grid hoodie is the best base layer I have had the pleasure of using! My GF got me one for Valentine's Day and I've worn it nearly non-stop. I use it mainly for skiing and fishing in cold conditions and I am seriously impressed by the warmth these hoodies provide! Very impressed and highly recommend!

I would recommend going with your standard size for a base layer and going a size up for a more casual, baggy, all-around fit! Squak for the win!

Personally, my new Grid Fleece Hoodie in Orange is my 4th Squak. I also have Hoodies in White and Navy and a Black Crewneck. My Wife has a sage Green Hoodie. My Sister and Niece have Maroon Hoodies, My Brother In Law has a Medium Blue Hoodie. That makes 8 Squaks spread throughout our family; and we love each and every one of them. The thermoregulation of the unique Squak inverted grid fleece can keep you comfy inside or outside. We especially like the thumb holes; which aid in putting on an over-layer and also to help keep our hands warm. Comparable grid fleece hoodies run 50% to 100% more expensive; and aren't as nicely feature-laden. We (all of us) plan to expand our collections with other colors; and are anxiously awaiting Squak Beanies Q4 2026.

Central NY winters always feature feet of snow, this year accompanied by below zero temperatures, gale force winds, and driving rain. A second grid fleece hoodie from Squak was a no brainer. It’s the perfect choice for harsh winter conditions.

While I cannot speak to the durability as I've only hiked 2 miles wearing the garment, I will say it is very comfortable. Breathable. The quality is exceptional.

I ordered a size L at first, and Squak graciously exchanged it for an XL.
I am 6'2" 210lbs , 44" around the chest at the armpits, 41" around at the belly button. I wear size L shirts and 34 waist 34 inseam pants.

I would say to size up unless you plan to wear it as a base layer. It is more of a slim fit. I reckon it is better insulating with a form fit, so I get why. I am very happy with the size XL though. The sleeves are of adequate length too. Frequently garments that fit me have otherwise too short of sleeves.

Supremely comfortable, and I got a compliment on it the first day I wore it. I imagine I'll be purchasing another of a different color here at some point.
