Backstory (TL;DR: We made a bottle)
A few months back, we spotted someone on Instagram frustrated about not being able to find a skinny bottle that was both durable and lightweight. They wanted something like a mix between a Nalgene and a disposable Smart Water bottle. That post racked up thousands of likes and dozens of comments, and we thought, ‘hey, maybe we could make that happen.’
It’s that kind of thinking that got us into this wild adventure in the first place—filling up our basements with gear, late-night packaging sessions, and marathon chats with manufacturers 🤪.
We reached out to a bunch of manufacturers and finally found one that could almost make exactly what we envisioned. We would’ve loved to use UL HDPE plastic, but selling the MOQ of 20,000 bottles felt a little out of reach. So, we pivoted. And now, here we are, dipping our toes into hydration with something we’re really excited about.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect daily water bottle for years. I forget where I first saw these; likely a YouTuber that reviews hiking gear but, as soon as I saw it, I knew I needed to try it.
Received a couples weeks ago and I’ve been taking two to work. One with an LMNT packet in it and one with water. They fit in the cup holders in my Audi (which is a miracle!) and they also fit great in the side pockets of my daily carry bag… I’ve also taken one of these on day hikes and they work great for short stints. They’re a bit heavy for a long section or thru-hike.
Either way. Get one. It’s worth the investment.
Happy with the bottle. Like a Nalgene 16oz but taller. Skinny and nice to fill with water for the day. Fits in my car cup holder as well.
Great durable water bottle. It is exactly what I needed size wise. I was super stoked to find out the mouth guard I already had fit as well. Perfect for everyday use and can't wait to try it out on the trail this year.
I have been looking for an alternative in this size that was thinner and fit my hiking and day packs. Just took this on a trip to Iceland and it worked perfectly. Fit my pack, stayed in place without having to strap it in, no leaks and held enough between stops or when I couldn't fill it. Dropped it a couple of times and it doesn't have a mark on it. The other nice part is it fits well in my backpack with it being thin and tall. I am happy I grabbed this when ordering my Dawn Crew that also joined me on this trip.
Very happy with the Squak bottle! Checks a bunch of boxes for me. The slim design allows me to nest the bottle with my Toaks 750 ml pot, and with a cap and hose kit, I am able to use it like a water bladder ( except without all the difficult cleaning). Also, it gives me the ability to use it as a hot water bottle on cold nights and as a measuring device when cooking. Congratulations on designing the best water bottle I have ever used!
