Squaker Bottle – Clear Water Bottle

$14.99

Backstory (TL;DR: We made a bottle)
A few months back, we spotted someone on Instagram frustrated about not being able to find a skinny bottle that was both durable and lightweight. They wanted something like a mix between a Nalgene and a disposable Smart Water bottle. That post racked up thousands of likes and dozens of comments, and we thought, ‘hey, maybe we could make that happen.’

It’s that kind of thinking that got us into this wild adventure in the first place—filling up our basements with gear, late-night packaging sessions, and marathon chats with manufacturers 🤪.

We reached out to a bunch of manufacturers and finally found one that could almost make exactly what we envisioned. We would’ve loved to use UL HDPE plastic, but selling the MOQ of 20,000 bottles felt a little out of reach. So, we pivoted. And now, here we are, dipping our toes into hydration with something we’re really excited about.

Fantastic - except 1 thing

the formfactor of this bottle is perfect, and with the material choice I can be sure that this will be just as durable as a Nalgene. My only complaint is the threads. I wish that Squak used the same threads as Nalgene. The thread pitch on a Nalgene is higher so it requires less turning compared to the Squak. (this is a pretty minor complaint that falls into the "would be nice" category)

Hey Zach! Thanks for the awesome feedback on the bottle's form factor and durability – we're stoked you're digging those! We hear you on the threads and appreciate you pointing that out. It's great to know what details matter to you out on the trail. Happy hydrating!

Perfect!! Exactly what I was looking for!!! All the benefits of a Nalgene but the size of a smartwater bottle. It’s sturdy, can take boiling water, fits all the nalgene cap accessories, and is even lighter than a nalgene, but it fits in my car cup holder and fits in the side pocket of every pack I own. I love it so much I just ordered another one. Would love to see some with some fun designs or different color options!!

Sweet hoodie!

Bought this right before a trip to Patagonia and I have been living in it. Fit is perfect, love the hood shape, and it’s just a dang good sweater all around. Barely can feel it in my pack!

Sounds like that sweater held up well on your Patagonia trip! We're glad it proved to be a reliable layer for your adventures. Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding water bottle

This is a very high-quality water bottle. I'll probably be buying several more in the future! I own several 32 oz nalgenes but wanted something slimmer that would do a better job fitting in my backpack pockets. Most of my backpacks do accommodate a standard nalgene, but what happens is they often do this by allowing the bottle to press into the pack, thus removing internal space. I am happy to say that this bottle's slimmer form factor mitigates that issue and is a lot easier to slip in and out of my side pockets! I've found it also fits in my car's cup holder which was a great discovery.

In addition, I can say that whatever plastic this is made out of, it feels very sturdy, even sturdier than my nalgenes. The cap in particular feels much more solid and just overall better quality than my other water bottles.

Otherwise, my only comment on it is that the printed design (logo+measurements) is subtle as the darkened color of the bottle does not contrast strongly with the dark green design. Certainly not an issue or anything, especially if you like toned down designs.

Hey Caleb! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with our water bottle. We're stoked to hear it's hitting the trail with you and solving that backpack space issue – nothing beats a streamlined kit! We totally get the Nalgene love, and we're thrilled you're finding ours even sturdier. Your feedback means a ton.

We appreciate the note on the logo; your input will help us refine things. We're always listening!

Happy trails, and we look forward to seeing you with more of our gear in the future! Keep exploring!

Been looking for this exact product for years.

Finally, someone made a Nalgene-like bottle with the narrower dimensions of a 1 litter Smart Water bottle. This is going to be so much easier to fit in the smaller side water bottle pockets of modern backpacks. I've already posted on Facebook to my hiking friends. I may buy more, just to give away as gifts.

I've included a photo to show the size comparison of the Squaker versus a 1 liter Smart Water bottle and a 32oz. Nalgene.

Hey David and Moose! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the photo comparison. Glad the Squaker's size is working out for your pack. We appreciate you spreading the word to your hiking buddies!
